Society has role models. These role models are people that we look up to. Whether it is a young girl looking up to a pop star, or a young boy looking up to a football player, the American public has people that influence us on how we talk, dress, and how we act. Supermodels, men and women, influence us in more ways than people think. When a person is looking through a newspaper or a magazine, they see models. They see a skin color, a height, a weight, and a certain kind of body shape. Someone could look at a model, and may or may not wish that they were like that person in some way. Fashion models influence us in more way than people think. Models make us think that society wants to be a certain height or a certain size. This influence can be a good thing for society, or it could be a good thing for society. Modeling began in the 1800’s. It was brought up by Charles Frederick Worth who was born on October 13, 1825. He first began his fashion career when he had the idea to have his wife, Marie, try on his clothes that he had designed himself. I was baptized and confirmed as a member of the Baptist Church at the young age of five. I was living in Meridian, Mississippi at the time due to my father being involved in the US Navy and always moving from one base to another. For the next six years of my life, I was truly devoted to the Church and attended every service, event or function that was hosted by the Church. I was eleven years old and back home in my hometown of Detroit, Michigan when my salvation had taken a detour per say. In 1997, I got sucked into the life of fast money, drugs, and even gangs. I became a member of the street gang, The Crips. I was making a lot of money and had totally lost sight of everything I had worked so hard to establish within my life as a Christian.
